I know, that's not really your name, but it's a fond nickname from long, long ago...and I thought you might find it fun! (And yes, I know your day is tomorrow...but I'm off to bed momentarily, so it practically counts!)

I miss living a couple doors down from you, but I'm glad that we're still in contact!! We'll have to get together sometime soon!!

Treating self...

Some days one just feels like treating oneself. Yesterday, I visited a friend on her last day at work, and splurged on a bit of jewelry. Very pretty, if I do say so myself.

Then this morning, I slept in, had a nice long shower, went for a nice long walk with the pooch and visited some friends. All fun parts of treating myself royally.

It snowed last night. And was rather bright, around midnight. No idea why. This photo was taken last night, with no flash. I don't know what was going on, but the usually pitch blackness wasn't there last night! (And it was cloudy!)

How are you going to treat yourself in the near future??

Interesting thoughts while walking home

So while walking home this afternoon, I had some crazy thoughts. Not loopy crazy, but odd. You know. So here in Ottawa, we had a bunch of snow. Today the temperature is 9 C, and the spots of over 1 ft of snow are melting quickly. I was walking through this, and I thought to myself: "It feels like I'm walking through a slushie". I dunno. Strange stuff.

What sorts of strange thoughts do you have run through your head?

Hi Everyone!

It's beautiful outside today. I cracked open the window in my room, to help get out some of the stale old winter air, and went for a stroll with the pooch. We had a grand time, romping through the snow, rather deep in places yet! The ice rink in the park across the way looks like it has met the end of its season. I didn't skate on it this year, but hope to maybe next year. In Ottawa a lot of the parks have ice rinks that they set up in the winter. Such fun!

My internet was down yesterday. I made the most of it by watching movies all day! hehe. It's fun spotting individuals that are making a name for themselves elsewhere in the movies in small roles.

I should go. This daylight savings time has slightly upset the day, but hopefully I can get a good night's sleep tonight, anyway!

Random and odd

I think there's a blog out there to that effect...sorry, that's not really what I'm talking about today!

I lost my phone today. It was found in a cupboard, in the pantry. NO IDEA how it got there.

I watched most of the little mermaid today- whilst reading some of a book. Sometimes I don't find it fun sharing a book...but if it has to be done, I'll do it--I mean I did it for the order of the phoenix while in Timmins-- but boy! it can be hard!

I'm feeling a little off this evening...not sick, just in a bit of a mood. Maybe I should just high-tail it to bed, do some devotions, that should help...and see what comes of a new day."it's fresh- with no mistakes in it, yet"

Quick hello

Hi everyone!

I'm back...in Ottawa, with more regular internet access-though that doesn't mean you'll really see more of me. School is getting busy. 2 exams today- one next week. I'll be around...stop by and say hello.

Outside- currently -6 and ice pellets. NOT a fun walk in to the school library. My drive yesterday was fine though. I beat the storm to Ottawa.
