Winding Down with Naomi

Hmm...what is this all about, really? It's me jotting down ideas about things that go on in my life, and some occassional pictures of things I've seen and done.

WHO GOES THERE?

Friend or Foe?

Name thyself!

(I'm sure there are lots of lurkers around, and although it looks like I'm just copying Kelly I've really been planning this since our family pig roast and the Edlya weekend, when lots of people were saying-- Oh, yeah, I check out what's going on with you on your blog-- well....please, let me know who you are. I'm curious if I'm really only read by the few people I THINK are reading this, or if there's a bunch of bloggers/others that I ought to say how-do to! Plus, this way, you get your name in big fancy bold letters in great colours with lights flashing around...or not. Um, I don't do programming like that...but if anyone is interested in a job....RESPOND! hehe)

I was just looking around to see what some names I hadn't run into for a while were up to, and I get a "friend or foe" challenge? Yikes!

Name: Tim Kuehn
Rank: Showers daily

Reading you blog, I'm glad to read you're enjoying your medical training. As for summer being over, I agree - it's been way too fast.

Before you know it, we'll all be grumbling about (dare I say it?) _snow_ on the ground!

But that's a grumble for another day. :)

Take care!

"Nayommaise"?

Lol...

We've been at the same EDLYA retreats, and talked a couple of times. One chat was about what you were going to choose as a career - this was before you decided to go to med school. I think that was at a retreat in Stratford or Waterloo ages ago.

I found you because one of you relatives (Kelly, I think?) posted to a blog I read. I recognized the last name and followed it back - and wound up here.

We haven't talked for quite some time, and I haven't been to a retreat in a number of years, but I've always been curious what that (then student) wound up doing.

I'm also Ben and Lisa Kuehn's brother. Your brother (Peter?) from Nova Scotia may be able to make the connection - we bumped into each other when I was out visiting in NS a number of years ago.

I hope this is enough to jog your memory.

Take care, and all the Lord's best with your studies!

Sigh...

Some days I feel like a lurker on my own site! I get time to check things, see that people are around, but don't have that extra bit to say hello!

Here goes:
viney-peoplesI'm soooo glad that you stop by this way. I miss being able to spend more time with you and the growing household there!

jerricaGood to see you here. I know time is short sometimes, but I'm always happy to see you round!

timAh, yes! Now it's all clear. You see, I don't think I ever knew your last name from EDLYA. And my brother Peter does seem to know your sister, as he was correcting me on how to pronounce it! Welcome to my site.

bec all I really want to say is "takes one to know one!" but that's rather childish. hehe... You takin' the last train from Clarksburg???

Hi Back at you Tim....
But that happens to be one of the nicknames I will not abide! (There's no way to get that one from sounds of my name, and it reminds me of how people mispronounce my name all the time too!)

hehe: say with me now: Neigh (like a horse says) Oh Me (As in, myself and I)

But but but - it rhymed with "hi"!

Anyway, with a last name like mine, I can appreciate what it's like to live with a name that's misprounounced on a regular basis. The upside is it's an almost dead give-away that whoever says it wrong is a stranger. This can be useful when telemarketers call, among other things. :)

Hello Naomi!
I do try to read your blog and keep up, however the library hasn't been very user friendly as far as access to a computer till today. So hope to get caught up. Lots of love to you.
