Winding Down with Naomi

Hmm...what is this all about, really? It's me jotting down ideas about things that go on in my life, and some occassional pictures of things I've seen and done.

Sweet singing in the Choir

Greetings to you all, as we look forward to the celebration of the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ!

What a joyous time of year it is! I am very happy to be home, helping out in the preparations for Christmas, knowing that I'm not going to get everything done that I want to do, but enjoying it all the while.

Here's a plug for choirs! I have been blessed to be a part of many choirs, most of them in the church. I have enjoyed, over the many years, the opportunity to learn better the words to hymns which put to music God's word. I am thankful that I have this opportunity. Make a joyful noise!!

If I don't write to you again before Christmas- may God bless you this Christmas and always!

Once He Came in Blessing

Once He came in blessing,
All our ills redressing,
Came in likeness lowly,
Son of God most holy;
Bore the cross to save us,
Hope and freedom gave us.

Shhh... I have a secret

And that secret is, I can blog for reasons other than pictures or birthday wishes, but I'm not doing that today! Heehee!

Thought you'd get something good out of it, hmm? Sorry if I disappointed you. I hope the wishes and pictures help make up for it!

I'll attempt to post a little more frequently, but we'll have to see how well I follow through on my good intentions.

Lets see, last post wished Adrian a happy birthday. This message wishes Evelyn (Effie) a safe delivery- it's any time now!! I am praying that all goes well for her and her little one!

Looking to tomorrow and the next day, let's sing, shall we?

Happy birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Evelyn and Dad!
Happy Birthday to you!

God's blessings to you both as well. (I have a feeling I'll be adding in a new verse soon, but we have to wait for it!)

Now, for some photos. I went for a walk with Pastor, Doris and their little ones. I managed to have my camera die and have no working batteries just a little way through our walk. We had fun though! Gotta love tromping trails in sneakers in November!

Then there's little A in his Christmas show, sorry it's not better quality, but it seems I need to decide on a photo editor for my new computer at some point, something better than Paint. And then him not paying attention to the other kids.

Next we have some Christmas decorations at my place (a little fancier than last year?) and some hand bell practice, Humphrey Bogart and his friend Fraser and then SNOW! I like snow. This first real snow was quite pretty too. I'm tempted to bring my camera to work tomorrow for pictures of the view. We'll see!

Miss you all!
