Winding Down with Naomi

Hmm...what is this all about, really? It's me jotting down ideas about things that go on in my life, and some occassional pictures of things I've seen and done.

My Car-pet

I have one.

Yes I do. I don't have a name for it. You may be wondering, why would she name her carpet? Well, that would be because it's NOT a carpet, but a car pet. I have a lady bug living in my car. It is similar to the hitchhiker I had a while back, see below, but different in that it's currently hanging out on the back windshield-but on the inside- so no blowing away. I noticed it on the drive to Windsor, thought nothing of it other than to mention it to Tracey. Then, while traveling back alone, I looked back. There it was still. Crawling up and down the inside of the window. It was still there this morning.

I'm ok with this car pet. Don't know what exactly it eats, but does that really matter?

What have you found living in your car?! (Uh-oh, those could be scary responses!)

Weekend plans

Plans are fun to make. Here' s hoping this weekend's work out well.

Today, when the day is through- (no knowing when that will be, really) I head home-read Tracey's pad-, and pack an overnight bag. Either Tracey will be awaiting me, or I will await her return from work, and then we will "hit the road". (Not litterally- though Atreyu likes to do things like that).

The road to travel today? A 400 series highway. To Windsor we go! Games night, hanging out with close friends an relatives.

Tomorrow? Not so sure...the plans have not been formalized, though I'm not planning on sleeping in a house with a manditory wake up time of 5am. Likely back to London tomorrow.

Sunday- church and possibly hanging out with more family. I like doing that. I'll have to chat with some of the friends I know are in town, maybe we can get together on Sunday too!

Hope you all have fun weekend plans! Care to share?

Things aren't always what they seem

And plans don't always follow.

Today, not feeling the greatest, and am allowed to go home from "work" early. That's a bit of a relief.

I was to pretend to be a new mother today. But we got called to do other things, so I went and helped elsewhere.

Looking forward to some good hugs this weekend. I'm not going to EDLYA- though I had hoped to, being so close. I have to work tomorrow midnight, so that kinda reduces time/energy for EDLYA, and with not feeling 100% today- it doesn't seem like a good idea.

I hope all those who DO attend have a great time. Oktober fest is on the agenda, I believe!

Hope to be chatting with you (one way or another) in the near future. Drop me a line if you'd like. chickadeenaomi at gmail dot com

I dunno

No good title for today, I suppose

Christmas must be coming... I've participated in Christmas draws, random Christmas tunes are popping up in my head...and I'm in Chatham. Wait. I don't think that one's such a qualifier, but last time I spent any length of time here I did help get and decorate a Christmas tree.

Today, I made a sister jealous. I'm sorry Bec. I wish to share my fun with you...maybe this weekend?

I also voted...but not today...I voted early cause I knew I wouldn't be in my home riding today.

I miss you all. I shouldn't stay online long, cause I'm tired. Hope all is well with you.

Hugs!

*Tell me, what Christmas song first came to mind when I mentioned them above?*

A short note

Hello all

I'm in Chatham again. Good news- I'm able to park in a driveway this time. I'm enjoying my host's new house, and my time with them.

This past weekend I was able to visit with all my sisters (save my sister in law- sorry Kelly-it's too far to drive for a half-day or meal). I enjoyed getting to spend time with them, though the time was brief and/or hurried/busy.

"Work" is going well. I'm really enjoying those I am working with. Might be able to head home a little early on Friday- we'll see!
